Small Group Ministries
Get Involved! Small groups are a big deal at Faith United Church of Christ!
Looking to become more involved among our Faith Family? Faith UCC is blessed with several ministries to suit your interests…
Please join Pastor Tracey for prayer on Wednesday mornings at 11:00 am. Come learn about the different forms of prayer and spend time in prayer for our Faith family.
Reaching out to our shut-ins, homebound, and those who are needing prayers, the Touch of Faith ministry sends flowers, cards, and well-wishes on behalf of the church to individuals and families who have come upon struggle or illness.
Faith UCC tries to accommodate all through our grief support groups. Come join others who have been or are in the grieving process. Each Thursday at 1:00 pm and the third Thursday of every month at 7:00, we will gather to not solely focus on the death, but to celebrate the lives of our loved ones. Please come any time that works best for your schedule. All are welcome.
Dr. Larry will be leading a Bible Study and alternating with Pastor Tracey at 5:30 pm each week prior to the free community meal.
Promoting a greater interest for our Church and God’s world, the mission of Women’s Fellowship aims to provide for the physical and fellowship needs of Faith UCC; as well as further spiritual interest and growth in ourselves and others.
Women’s fellowship meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 in the evening.
Open to all women, Alpha Fellowship offers support and promotes spiritual growth through a variety of program topics. Alpha sponsors several mission efforts including OCWM (Our Church’s Wider Mission) as well as various children’s, youth and education activities. This group also hosts various fundraisers, including the Annual Meeting luncheon.
Alpha Fellowship meets on the third Monday of each month.
Pastor Tracey will lead this bible study in the Parlor at Faith prior to worship
Several upcoming events are planned. Come get in on the fellowship and fun! All men are invited to attend.
Come relax, breathe and finally rest and have discussion that will help you to continue to be the outstanding Caregiver you are. You will be given additional guidance in creating healthy boundaries, to provide the care needed, for your loved one and yourself during this season.
Caregiver Angels is for all Caregivers, who selflessly give of their time and love to their loved one. They sacrifice taking care of themselves, to be consistently available for the person they are caring for.
Caregiver Angels small group, will help you to connect with and share your experience with others. You will be able to gain advice, support and know that you are not alone in the struggles, fatigue, despair and at times frustration of being a Caregiver. You will be able to share stories, laugh, cry and get spiritual renewal with others, who share your experience.
Caregiver Angels is a Bible based support group, as are all the small groups at Faith UCC. You will learn how the Word of God will strengthen you to continue to be a Caregiver, but with peace, patience and self-care. Caregiver Angels small group is a safe and completely confidential space. Whatever you share, will never leave the room.
The small group will meet each Sunday at 11:45 am. You can get something to eat and drink from the Coffee hour, and bring it with you to the Fellowship Room. Then come relax, breathe and finally rest and have discussion that will help you to continue to be the outstanding Caregiver you are. You will be given additional guidance in creating healthy boundaries, to provide the care needed, for your loved one and yourself during this season.
Come and join us! We look forward to seeing you, and supporting you along your journey of being a Caregiver!
Open to all who enjoy reading, our Faith Book Club meets on the last Tuesday of each month at the homes of members. A different book is selected each month, and members gather for discussion and conversation.
