Refuse to Let Go

Refuse to Let Go

So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak.2When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.” But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”

                                                                                          Genesis 32:24-26

Jacob was a very determined man. The audacity to wrestle with God, points to his fearless and preserving nature. He actually dared to believe that there was nothing too hard for God, and He was going to wrestle with and hold on to Him, until He blessed his servant. By the time the long battle was over, God blessed Jacob, and touched his thigh to cause a limp, so that he would always be reminded that God is with him and to remember that the fight for his blessing was really his faith being put to the test, through the belief, that God would deliver and bless him.

That is the type of Christian I strive to be. Always believing and knowing that my blessings come only from God and I will seek Him and ask for my prayers to be answered, until He does what He promises and supplies all of my needs according to His riches in Glory (Phil. 4:19). God calls for you to not give up believing Him to be God. There is nothing God cannot do, but He needs your faith. God says that without faith, it is impossible to please Him.

The truth is – Faith is a gift and a fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23). God has already given you faith, but you must nurture and help it to grow and increase it, by living through storms, overcoming adversity, trials and tribulations. However, none of this can be done without Jesus. Your faith grows by holding onto the promises of God and holding onto Him by praying and refusing to stop, until God gives you the answers to your prayers, according to His good and perfect will. By holding onto God, you grow closer in relationship to Him. Through the struggle, He gives you a testimony that can be shared with others about the importance of perseverance, until God shows up with miraculous blessings and deliverance.

Now here is my request. HOLD ON AND DON’T LET GO UNTIL JESUS BLESSES YOU! There is Nothing that Jesus cannot do. You are His child and He only wants the Best for you. Accept the Blessing, share the Blessing with others and know that Jesus is Always in your corner, fighting on your behalf. Know that He will Always work everything out for Your good! AMEN

Be blessed always,

Pastor Tracey
