Life is not easy, being a Christian is not easy, nor for the faint of heart. God Never promised it would be easy, but He does promise to be with you.
That word, Hope, is synonymous with the words faith and pray. That verse means – “But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently” (Romans 8:25). When you pray, have faith, for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Waiting patiently, putting your faith into action and praying with expectation, is not easy but it can be achieved. It is a continual process of prayer and faith, prayer and faith.
Revival is coming to Colorado! Faith UCC is leading the charge to be the light in the world God has called us to be and to show Him to all we meet. People are hurting, seeking God, wanting to know that God is with them and hears their prayers, and to know who Jesus is. People are seeking God and He is seeking them, calling them by name! The Revival that is coming on the Main Street lawn at Faith UCC, is going to be life changing. People are not only going to leave better than they arrived, but spiritually Revived.
So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak.2When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.” But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
Some people don’t love themselves and can’t extend what they don’t have for themselves. However, all human beings want to be treated with respect and to be loved. If you are that person, ask Christ to give you a heart of compassion and love for yourself and others. Follow the example of Your Savior, walk in love. Walk in the fruits of the spirit - love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Gal. 5:22-23). When you share these gifts with yourself and others, you will Love your neighbor as yourself, and receive the blessings of God, who loves you beyond words.
