Meet Our Team:
The Reverend A. Fred Evenson
Rev. Evenson is a native of Reno, Nevada. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental & Natural Resource Management with an emphasis in Forestry from the University of Nevada-Reno in 1994, and received his Master of Divinity degree in 2000 from the Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves, Missouri.
Rev. Evenson spent a year in a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program through the Texas Medical Center in Houston. He has served various local churches in the United Church of Christ, including Countryside Community UCC in Omaha, NE as the Associate Minister for Youth & Family Concerns; Northeast UCC in Lincoln, NE as Interim Minister; and First Congregational UCC in Crete, NE as Associate Minister.
Fred was hired as Associate Minister at Faith UCC in 2007, and accepted the call as our Senior Pastor in 2011. In his vast amounts of free time, Pastor Fred enjoys hiking, camping, mountain biking and aviation. He lives in Severance with his wife, Suzan, and their three children.
Kathy was born in Greeley, Colorado and was raised in Windsor. She is a graduate of Colorado State University with an M.S. in Home Economics Education. Kathy has spent more than 25 years working with the 4-H organization as a cake decorating judge at various County fairs, and is currently State Fair Superintendent.
Kathy has a passion for Handbell ringing, and she has been a ringer for the last 25 years. She is a member of the Bells of the Rockies professional ringing group, and serves as director of the Celebration Ringers at Faith UCC. Kathy and her husband of 40 years – Tim – have two sons, Brian and Kevin; and 5 grandchildren.
Miss Melissa Thorne
Director of Faithsteps Christian Preschool
Melissa came to Windsor from Hutchinson, Kansas. She received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from from Oklahoma Christian University.
She had previously taught Head Start preschool, fifth grade and first grade. She lives in Windsor with her husband, Gavin, and two children.

Director of the Windsor-Severance Food Pantry
Brenda is a native of Ault, Colorado. Her husbands family has a long history of agriculture and farming around the Windsor area.
At Faith Church, Brenda has done everything from Church Council to serving as Sunday School Superintendent.
She enjoys all things crafty, including painting, gardening, sewing, crocheting and cross-stitching and wood crafting.
Brenda is an avid fan of track and and is a dedicated Denver Broncos fan. Brenda and her husband have two daughters.
